Mr. Griffin has spent the majority of his 42 year career in Asia developing global leaders. His areas of expertise include Cross Cultural Leadership, Senior Executive Mentoring, Dynamic Public Speaking, Accelerating Young Talent for Leadership, Sales Productivity and Strategy Mapping with Balanced Scorecard.
His life mission is to equip and inspire young people to be the transformational leaders they have the potential to be as multipliers across Asia Pacific.
In 1976, he arrived as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Malaysia serving for over 3 years in the jungles of Kelantan, Malaysia. He was part of a team that developed systems to save the tropical forest. These were formulated and passed as law by Parliament in Malaysia.
In 1980, he set up the Southeast Asian office of Xerox Learning Systems (XLS), now called AchieveGlobal (a part of Miller Heiman Group). He was their First Master Trainer for Southeast Asia. Mr. Griffin is now the owner of ELAvate Singapore, Indonesia, and India leading his trainers to train for well over 1,000 corporate clients, both multinationals and local conglomerates across 22 nations.
Since 1995, he has worked with Trompenaars Hampden-Turner Consulting to do Asian research and consulting on Cross Cultural Management.
Mr. Griffin is the Master Coach for Dr Tim Elmore’s globally acclaimed Habitudes Training in Asia. This unique training focuses on developing Generation Y leaders’ attitudes and habits of leadership.
Michael is a Founding Member of the John Maxwell Training Team and has been personally trained by Dr. John Maxwell on Coaching and Leadership. Mr. Griffin has volunteered for Dr John Maxwell’s EQUIP as an Associate Trainer for over 12 years. He was appointed Asian Coordinator for 6 years where he led a team of 50 volunteer trainers to conduct leaders training across 19 countries in the Asia Pacific Region. He is also the Asian Trainer for Man in the Mirror conducting seminars for helping men be better fathers/husbands and ethical businessmen. He currently coaches men across Asia.
He is a Trainer Distributor for TTI Success Insights, the world’s leading DISC and Motivator profile company. He is also certified for Jeffrey Gitomer’s Gitomer Certified Advisor Program.

Director of Business Development
Mr. Manish Harsora’s primary role in the company is that of handling the Global Overseas Accounts. Additionally, he is also responsible for Training Team and Stellar Implementation Team for successful roll out of the seminars.
He has been with the company since 2001 and has grown in the organization from support function to Director. His can do attitude and Customer Centric approach has made him successful in handling big global overseas accounts and is responsible for seamless roll outs across the SAARC region.
Manish graduated from Mumbai (India) University as Engineer in the Construction filed. His passion towards serving and growing people made him join ELAvate and along with Michael Griffin, he is passionate of growing young generation leaders.
With serving attitude and passion for people development he continues to strive to be a key member for Michael Griffin’s group of companies in SAARC region.
Head of Administration
Jenny Chng started working for Equipping Leaders for Asia in 2006. Her role in the organisation, as head of administration, is to co-ordinate the administrative procedures between the the three offices and is one of Michael J. Griffin’s closest advisors. Based in the Singapore office, Jenny additionally oversees the production of ELAvate’s training materials and preparation of training events.
Jenny has had a long career in business administration working with organisations such as; Ministry of Defence, DBS Bank, Toronto Dominion Bank and Dow Corning. In addition, Jenny spent two years living at sea with Operation Mobilisation and has taken time out of her career to raise her family.
