Michael J. Griffin
CEO & Founder

Mr. Griffin has spent the majority of his 40+ year career in Asia in the field of Leadership Training and Organizational Consulting. His areas of expertise include Cross Cultural Leadership, Senior Executive Development, Sales Productivity, Strategy Mapping and Balanced Scorecard.
His life mission is to equip and inspire young people to be the leaders they have the potential to be as multipliers across Asia Pacific.
In 1976, he arrived as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Malaysia serving for over 3 years.
In 1980, he joined Xerox Learning Systems (later called AchieveGlobal and now part of Miller Heiman Group) as their Master Trainer for Southeast Asia. Mr. Griffin has been the franchisee for AchieveGlobal for 20+ years in Indonesia and India.
Since 1995, he has worked with Trompenaars Hampden-Turner Consulting do Asian research and consulting on Cross Cultural Management.
Mr. Griffin is the Master Coach for Dr Tim Elmore’s globally acclaimed Habitudes Training in Asia. This unique training focuses on developing Generation Y leaders’ attitudes and habits of leadership.
Mr. Griffin volunteers for Dr John Maxwell’s EQUIP as an Associate Trainer for over 7 years and as Asian Coordinator for 6 years where he has led a team of 50 volunteer trainers to conduct leaders training across 19 countries in the Asia Pacific Region. He is also the Asian Trainer for Man in the Mirror conducting seminars for helping men be better fathers/husbands and ethical businessmen. He currently coaches men across Asia.
Mr. Griffin is also certified for Jeffrey Gitomer’s Gitomer Certified Advisor Program.

Mr. Griffin is married to a Malaysian and has two young adult daughters. He enjoys Asia because of its rich diversity of people, culture, and food. He speaks Indonesian/Malay and conversational Mandarin.
Thomas H. Clay
Senior Training Performance Consultant
Thomas is an Executive Coach and Senior Training Performance Consultant. His primary clients are senior leaders in multinational companies operating in South East Asia. His background is in investment banking where he built and led teams supporting capital markets trading. He has extensive cross-cultural leadership experience having lived and worked in North/South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Thomas is also an entrepreneur and co-founded a small import/export company in Singapore, which he and his partners ran for several years and eventually sold to a competitor. He then joined a start up enterprise software company as their General Manager for Sales and Customer Relations.
Thomas’s banking career includes working with Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Standard Chartered in the areas of Credit/Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income Securities and Commodities Trading. He moved to Singapore to build out the region’s operations teams.
He is currently married and resides in Singapore with his family. He is an avid language learner and speaks fluent Spanish and German, as well as intermediate Arabic and Chinese.
Dr. Tan Buck Chye

Tony Buzan Learning Centre
Dr. Tan Buck Chye is the Chief Buzan Trainer and Programme Director at Tony Buzan Learning Centre, as well as the Managing Director of Mind Map Training Centre Pte Ltd.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore with direct honours in Accountancy in 1984 and subsequently a Masters in Business Administration. He also has a Doctorate in Business Administration and an advanced Postgraduate diploma in consultancy from the Henley Management College in the UK. His research interests include strategic planning, strategic marketing, management leadership, emotional intelligence and mental literacy.
Dr. Tan has extensive corporate experience, and was previously a senior Business Manager with the Standard Chartered Bank, Chief Executive of Europa Holdings Pte Ltd, Vice Chairman of China United Pure Water Company and Chairman of The Beverage Company of Asia in China.
Dr Tan is also the pioneer of the Buzan 5-Step Learning Plan® for nurturing life-long learners. He published a research paper with the Henley Management College UK in early 2006 on developing intelligences and presented this paper as a Conference Speaker in the ASCD 2007 Conference in Anaheim, LA United States.
A Licensed Buzan Instructor and 6-Seconds® EQ Trainer, Dr Tan has conducted numerous executive workshops and programmes for various corporates, schools and government institutions in Singapore.
Training Performance Consultant
Starting out in the Media & Entertainment Industry, Yuko was a stage performer and digital media marketing consultant developing and delivering quality content programmes (live and digital) for corporate and commercial clients.
Other than hosting events for International Brands, she also organized and facilitated a series of mega-concerts and corporate projects, involving senior management personnel from multi-national companies. She also implemented a series of curriculum programs catered for youth leaders in tertiary institutions, and has also consistently developed non-profit-based outreach programs for at-risk youths.
Yuko went on to facilitate training workshops and consulting services to organizations in many Asian countries at Equipping Leaders for Asia, Singapore. As a new entree, Yuko developed international relationships and interacted with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, brand companies and organizational levels.
She was responsible for presenting and training alongside ELAvate global trainer Michael Griffin to conduct leadership seminars in other nations. Her efforts to facilitate workshops and seminars for international leaders who attended the workshops have received much accreditation.
Monthly, Yuko leads a 10,000 attendee organization in regular organizational curriculum activities and services entertainment-based content programmed to non-profit and academic groups. She holds a Bachelor of Degree in Business Administration (Specialized in Marketing) from the National University of Singapore.

Dr. John Kenworthy is a Certified Communispond Executive Presentation Skills trainer based out of Singapore. Apart from his work with us, John combines his strong business acumen with a passion for understanding how people learn and develop their skills and knowledge.
Originally a Chef by trade, John went on to manage hotels and restaurants in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. John’s cultural fluency stems from over thirty years of experience in business extending across industries and across the globe and is thus well placed to help business leaders achieve their full potential especially in the international environment. Highly pragmatic in nature, John, a leadership development coach, brings a rare ability to leverage the best of leaders’ skills with a strong strategic business focus to clients and their organisations to get the results they want.

Sharon C. Ward
Training Performance Consultant
Sharon has over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing and delivering training programs for schools, corporate and not-for-profit organizations.
Started out in the The Salvation Army in Singapore, Sharon oversaw the implementation of Adventure Wilderness Learning Program for an after-school developmental program in four secondary schools. She organized and facilitated a series of overseas community service learning and adventure learning expeditions for teens, involving over 100 participants. She also developed school-based outreach programs for at-risk youths, and community-based programs for youths from lower socio-economic groups.
Sharon went on to provide training and consulting services to organizations in many Asian countries at Equipping Leaders for Asia, Singapore as a Training Manager. In her 2 years stay there, Sharon established, developed international partnerships and experienced working with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and organizational levels. She was responsible for recruiting and training a corps of volunteer trainers to teach leadership seminars in other nations. Her coordination efforts for ongoing regional leadership development programs for not-for-profit organizations reached thousands of leaders in 19 Asia-Pacific countries and multiple languages.
As a Global Resources Specialist for Van Andel Global Trade Center in Grand Valley State University, Michigan, USA for the past 3 years, Sharon provided cultural training to large groups of professionals from various fields, such as business, education and healthcare, on working with overseas nationals. In addition, she researched, developed and coordinated all VAGTC international trade training programs and symposiums.
Yearly, Sharon speaks 5 – 8 times on cross-cultural communications to non-profit and academic groups. She holds a AACSB-accredited Master of Business Administration from the Grand Valley State University, Michigan, USA.

Andy Lim is an ELAvate trainer who is certified as a coach and trainer in Tools For Trainer Excellence and Growing Leaders Habitudes.
Andy is both passionate and engaging as a trainer, coach, facilitator and speaker both locally and overseas. He is self motivated and high on commitment and integrity. He is also strong on leadership skills and motivating teams having motivated both small and large teams. He is also a highly challenged life-coach in sports for Organisations and Churches. His other strength lies in his pragmatic approach to development and continuous learning.
Andy’s philosophy in life is that every person and every organization has extraordinary potential. Investments of time, energy, focus and money are required for that potential to be realized.
Currently, Andy is also promoting the use of sports as a tool to penetrate into the community as well as bringing creativity to the children’s & youth programmes. KidsGames, Teen Games, Family Games, Church Sport, Ministering to sports people, Major Sporting Events Partnership (MSEP), Sports Motivation Camp and other sports related ministries are being used to enhance the work amongst children and youth.

Celest holds a Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Southern Cross University, New South Wales. She has over 15 years of experience in many aspects of Customer Service- Travel Consultant, Tour Leader, Hotel Customer Service Officer and Singapore Airlines Cabin Crew.
She has represented Singapore in local and international beauty pageants, such as the Miss Singapore Universe 2007 and Miss Tourism World Finals 2005 in Sarawak, Malaysia. Her other stage experiences include choreographing and co-organising the first-ever Asia Conference 2008 Beauty Pageant and Manhunt, as well as overseas performances in Taiwan and Hong Kong. She has also represented Singapore Airlines as a promotional crew member and her face has graced many of Singapore Airlines advertisements.
A sought-after speaker, Celest is known for her creative and practical approach to training, together with her ability to communicate with people of varying ages, skill levels, nationalities and cultures. Her training and coaching sessions aim at increasing her participants’ skill level and confidence, and to make those results last. Hence, her training motto is “Built To Last”.
She holds an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) by Singapore Workforce Development Agency. She is a member of SIA Toastmasters Club (District 80) and a member of the Asia Professional Speakers Singapore.
